We are recruiting a Java Backend Developer for a local software development company with experience in building web and cloud applications, system integrations, APIs, and business process digitalization solutions.︁︆︂​︁︂︀​︁︉​︁︀︇ This is a full-time, 100% remote position. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of the backend services supporting a public sector digitalization platform. The role involves working with complex, hierarchical document models, full-text search and indexing, document workflow automation, and REST API development using Java, Spring Boot, and modern development tools, including AI-powered solutions. Responsibilities Develop and maintain microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot; Implement business logic and storage components for hierarchical document structures, metadata, and digitized records; Integrate and optimize full-text search and indexing mechanisms; Write unit and integration tests; Follow established coding standards and maintain clean, reliable, and maintainable code; Design relational database schemas and write and optimize SQL queries; Ensure data integrity and consistency; Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and code review sessions; Use AI tools responsibly for boilerplate code generation, test writing, and refactoring, while critically reviewing and validating the generated output.
