Android Software Engineer

About the product Our client is developing an AI-native assistant designed to support everyday communication, organization, errands and complex workflows with minimal user input. The product must reliably manage long-running processes, retain context, interact with external tools and complete real-world tasks despite the non-deterministic nature of modern AI models. The company’s objective is to make everyday activities significantly faster and easier for users.

As an Android Software Engineer, you will own the Android client experience and shape how AI behaves, responds and performs on mobile devices. This is not a thin-client or simple API-integration role. You will help build a production Android application in which AI interactions are central to the product experience, with a strong focus on performance, reliability and clarity.

Build and maintain production Android applications using Kotlin. Integrate AI-powered features, including chat, vision, voice and recommendations, through backend APIs. Design user experience patterns for AI interactions, including streaming responses, retries and partial results.

Optimize application performance, responsiveness and memory usage across AI-intensive workflows. Implement analytics, logging and feedback collection to support AI evaluation and continuous product improvement. Collaborate closely with backend and Machine Learning engineers on API contracts and system behavior.
