We are currently looking for a Ruby API Senior Developer for a 100% remote position supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. This role will design, develop, enhance, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and RESTful API endpoints, with a strong focus on scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Ruby on Rails and REST API development, along with working knowledge of React and modern web application development practices. The position will work closely with software engineers, architects, and other technical team members in a collaborative Agile development environment to support existing applications and deliver new functionality. The candidate must reside within the continental US. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and RESTful API endpoints. Develop scalable and maintainable APIs that support integrations between applications and services. Enhance and maintain existing Ruby on Rails applications while following established development and architectural best practices. Develop and integrate front-end functionality using React and related JavaScript technologies. Troubleshoot application and API issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with developers, technical leads, architects, and stakeholders to design and deliver application enhancements. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to sup
