Tech-Driven Prop Trading Firm London New Listing My client is a leading tech-driven prop trading firm, trading their own capital across a broad range of asset classes, instruments and strategies in markets worldwide. They are looking for motivated software developers to develop tools which enable the business to rapidly embrace new opportunities in global markets. You’ll join a tight-knit team of talented engineers, and partner closely with internal users – analysts, quants, traders – to understand their needs and build intuitive self-service tools. You’ll also experiment with emerging technologies and develop software for large-scale data acquisition, storage, accessibility and visualization. This is a group of polyglots and technologists who always look to find the correct tool for each problem, even if that means learning something new or reviving something old. If that sounds like you, and you think a lot about end users’ experience (including pain points), this role could be perfect for you! Requirements: Minimum 2-3 years’ experience of platform-level software development Solid CompSci fundamentals; a degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Strong experience with Java, Python or any modern programming language Experience processing high volumes of data at scale Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Comfort working within a globally distributed team Nice to have: A background in one or more of the following: Ruby experience Big data technolo
