Who will you be working with?The Friction Product Line designs and manufactures high-friction and low-friction composition, sintered brake shoes, specialty shoes, and disc brake linings for freight, locomotive and transit vehicles. You will be working with factory floor employees, engineers, and other staff. How will you make a difference?The Manufacturing IT Systems & Software Engineer assists in providing custom solutions for the manufacturing environment using a variety of systems and common languages, including Bash, PHP, Python, JavaScript, Xcode, sql, and other languages such as Rockwell’s ladder logic and Inductive Automation’s language set for Ignition.What do we want to know about you?High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is requiredAssociate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but 2+ years of experience in programming and Linux systems will be strongly consideredExperience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not requiredProficiency in Linux operating systems is highly desirable, and a working knowledge of Linux, MacOS, and Windows are requiredExposure to and experience with MariaDB/MySQL are highly desirableWillingness to adapt, change tasks, and self-manage within a small and nimble team are requiredWhat will your typical day look like?Develop applications utilizing languages including Bash, PHP, Python, JavaScript, Xcode, SQL, and other languages such as Rockwell’s ladder logic and Inductive Automation’s language set for IgnitionRegularly
