Ciena is seeking an experienced Advisor, Competitive Intelligence to lead competitive efforts focused on Inside-the-Data-Center (ITDC) technologies . This strategic role combines market, business, and technology analysis, competitive positioning, content development, and stakeholder enablement to help Ciena understand and anticipate market shifts and respond effectively to new and emerging competitive threats. Technology areas to be covered include: AI cluster architectures and their impact on coherent optical interconnects, including 400G, 800G, 1.6T, 3.2T, XPO, CPX, and USFP form factors Scale-up, scale-out, and scale-across network architectures Co-packaged optics (CPO), near-package optics (NPO), and linear-drive pluggable optics (LPO) 200G/lane and 400G/lane architectures SerDes technologies Active electrical cables (AECs) and active copper cables (ACCs) Data center power delivery and liquid cooling considerations Optical circuit switching (OCS) AI Fabrics Ethernet switching architectures and ecosystems Silicon photonics (SiPh), indium phosphide (InP), VCSEL, and thin-f
