Senior Software Engineer in Test I Hybrid Remote – Chennai, India About the Role As Senior Software Engineer in Test, you ’ ll focus on providing support for test development and execution against Blackboard's new feature and legacy system releases. You will become an active member of an agile team of developers participating in daily stand-ups, design sessions, code reviews, and sprint demos. You will create and maintain automation frameworks and testing tools. You'll develop the test strategy for features, incorporating the right balance of unit tests, integration/API tests, and UI tests. You will design, implement, and maintain complex testing environments, performing all aspects of verification including functional, regression, load, and system testing as well as documentation. You ’ ll be working with AI technology to enhance development efficiency and create exciting new features for our customers. You will work in a Scrum team focused on building functionality for the Blackboard LMS. Required Skills and Experience 5-7 years of experience in QA manual testing and automation Experience developing test automation scripts for web applications and REST APIs Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium Webdriver and TestNG Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS A technical understanding of database configuration and ability to write complex SQL queries Light experience with one or more scripting languages like shell or bash Light experience
