SEI is looking for an experienced Project Lead to play a key role in bringing climate and clean energy education to schools across New York. In this role, you’ll lead SEI’s work on the ground in the New York area, build relationships with educators and partners, and help teachers bring this important work into their classrooms. The New York Board of Regents recently passed a mandate requiring climate education in all K-12 public schools by 2029, creating an exciting opportunity to help shape how this work comes to life in schools. Ultimately, your work will help equip students with the knowledge and skills to understand energy and climate issues in their communities and explore green career pathways, while supporting the educators who make that learning possible. This position is remote, with the requirement to travel to training sites throughout the New York City and Long Island areas approximately three times per month.
