FTE: 1.0 FTE (working 37 hours per week). Duration of Contract: Fixed term for 24 months. Salary: UH7 £39,560pa to £46,970pa, by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience . Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield. Main duties and responsibilities As a postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will deliver research for the development of innovative AI/ML algorithms for predictive modelling and optimisation of agricultural applications from heterogeneous data. The post is part of a collaborative project funded by Innovate UK. You will have to support the Principal Investigator (Academic Lead) in achieving the project milestones, attend project meetings as required, undertake the development of AI/ML software tools, handle data management and analysis as required, contribute to the design and organisation of the R&D project, assist with project administration, assist with collating and writing publications, the project reports and working papers. Skills and experience required You will have Research experience in the subject area including, as appropriate, collaborative partnerships with other HEI’s or external partners, supported by Significant experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning including experience in AI/ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, etc) and in developing AI/ML projects.
