About the role Cloud Architecture and Solution Design Lead the enterprise cloud architecture strategy, design, and working group for ONR. This position is 100% onsite in Arlington, VA. What you'll do Deliver secure, scalable, resilient and cost-effective AWS and hybrid solutions that support mission requirements and IT modernization goals. Set and govern cloud architecture standards, reference architectures, design documentation and best practices. Review existing environments regularly and drive improvements to performance, availability, security and cost. Serve as senior technical authority and mentor to cloud engineers, system administrators, developers and cybersecurity staff. Guide them on architecture decisions from initial planning through operational sustainment. AWS Cloud Engineering and Administration Hands-on expertise to architect, deploy and optimize AWS infrastructure. Core services include EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager and OpenSearch. Design complex network topologies, including VPC peering, VPN connectivity, routing, gateways and segmentation. Define strategies for backup, disaster recovery and business continuity. Oversee the full cloud infrastructure lifecycle and lead escalated troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure, connectivity, performance and integration issues.
