At the core of the role We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join a long-term project in the Polish banking sector . You will work on large-scale backend solutions, contributing to the development and evolution of distributed systems and microservices. The role combines hands-on Java development with API and microservice design, integrations, performance, scalability, security and code quality. Please note that this is a hybrid role. We expect on average 1 day per week from the office , with the following locations available: Warsaw, Łódź, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Poznań, Kraków, Lublin and Szczecin . The role also requires Polish at B2+/C1 level . Core skills you’ll bring Strong commercial experience with Java , ideally Java 17/21 Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA and Spring Security Experience with Hibernate / JPA Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server Experience designing and developing REST APIs Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, JMS or RabbitMQ Hands-on experience with microservices Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift Experience with Git, Maven or G
