About Us: Checkbook enables businesses to access the speed, flexibility and cost savings of digital payments, with the familiarity and simplicity of paper checks. By providing businesses an on-ramp from paper to digital payments, we can effectively onboard customers at any stage of their digital transformation process. The Role: As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Checkbook, you’ll design, build, and scale our payments platform - from databases and backend services to APIs and user interfaces. You’ll work with Python, Postgres, and modern frontend frameworks, owning projects from architecture through launch. Responsibilities - Develop and architect exceptional web applications that exceed industry standards and captivate users - Build and ship robust APIs, integrating with internal, partner and customer systems - Ensure the security and integrity of our applications, safeguarding our users' valuable information - Design and optimize large DB schemas, queries and objects to meet performance and functionality objectives - Develop and implement automation tools and strategies to ensure the quality and stability of our web applications - Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies, industry trends, and best practices Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline - 5+ years of experience working with Python, Postgres and frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js, Ember) to build robust web applications - Familiar
