THE CHINESE MEDICINE HOSPITAL OF HONG KONG The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) is a flagship Chinese medicine (CM) institution leading the development of CM in Hong Kong. Controlled by the Health Bureau and operated under a public-private partnership model, CMHHK was financed by the HKSAR Government, which selected Hong Kong Baptist University as the contractor through tendering procedures in 2021. HKBU incorporated the HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited as the operator to manage, operate and maintain the hospital. Since commencing phased services in December 2025, CMHHK offers comprehensive CM care ranging from primary, secondary to tertiary services, and promotes advanced and specialised CM treatments. As a pioneer in integrated Chinese-western medicine (ICWM), CMHHK addresses diverse patient needs through inpatient, day-patient, outpatient and community-based services. With 65% of services government-subsidised and the remainder market-oriented, the hospital ensures accessible healthcare while meeting the diverse needs of the community.
