Senior UI/UX Engineer- Quantum Computing (f/m/d)

eleQtron develops and operates full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. Quantum computing is a new computing paradigm rapidly approaching commercial viability. Our unique approach combines laser-cooled trapped ions with microwave control and tailored magnetic fields.

Our next-generation computing machines under development will be able to find solutions to problems that are out of reach today, thus enabling new innovative products and services for a brighter future. We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Engineer (m/f/d) to join us in Hamburg or Siegen and own the end-to-end experience of working with our quantum computers, from the customer-facing web platform for submitting quantum programs and exploring results to the internal interfaces used to run, monitor, and calibrate our machines in the lab. You set the design direction for both, and you build the component library that both are made of.

This is a design-led role for someone who is not satisfied handing over a Figma file and hoping for the best .

Own the design direction for our customer-facing cloud platform and our internal operator interface, and keep them coherent as one product family Run the research: interview operators and physicists, observe real calibration workflows in the lab, and turn what you learn into design decisions Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for both surfaces Build and own our design system as production-ready
