Accountabilities: - In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of distributed software systems, ensuring that solutions are scalable, efficient, and reliable. Your responsibilities will include: Design and develop scalable, immutable, and distributed systems using functional Scala, with an emphasis on data streaming and backend services. - Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to build, test, and deliver robust cloud-based applications using AWS and modern engineering practices. - Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets high standards for quality and production readiness. - Contribute to the architecture and implementation of backend systems, applying functional programming principles to complex technical challenges. - Work with cloud infrastructure and database technologies to support reliable data processing, application performance, and system scalability. - Take initiative in identifying technical issues, evaluating solutions, and delivering improvements with a hands-on, problem-solving approach. - Contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, code quality, and continuous improvement. - Support cloud migration initiatives and help optimize application infrastructure where needed. - Apply performance monitoring, tuning, automation, and deployment best practices to improve system reliability and efficiency. - Requirements: The ideal candidate brings substantial software engineering
