Unreal Engine Tech Lead (f/m/d)

About the company: Your role: As the Lead Unreal Engine Programmer, you will take strategic and operational leadership of the Programming Department while keeping a solid, hands-on understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and C++. You are responsible for shaping the technical vision, ensuring efficient workflows, and guiding a team of programmers to create high-quality Double-A games for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. Your leadership will drive innovation, foster cross-departmental collaboration, and ensure the successful delivery of our projects in line with Aesir’s long-term goals.

The kind of stuff you`ll be doing: Your day-to-day work combines leadership with technical direction: Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Programming Department, aligning goals and processes with Aesir’s corporate objectives. Set the technical direction of our projects, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with industry best practices. Oversee testing strategies (Unit, Smoke, Integration, Feature, and Functional Tests) to safeguard quality.

Coach, mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and innovation. Coordinate and collaborate closely with other departments (Art, Design, Tech-Art, QA) to enable the integration of new features and enhancements. Initiate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and stability within the Programming Department.

Communicate proactively with the management team to
