Beschreibung

ROLE DESCRIPTION: We expect the individual to participate in all parts of the development life cycle including analysis, testing and production support. We do not have separate teams, and these activities are all part of the role. Tasks: Translate Group and Wholesale strategy into well-designed technical solutions, contributing to technical direction and ensuring delivery meets business needs for growth, management, and control. Take ownership of design and development across the full software lifecycle, producing high-quality, secure, and maintainable code in line with HSBC standards and engineering best practices. Support delivery planning and execution within Agile and/or Waterfall teams, collaborating closely with developers, testers, analysts, and architects to deliver agreed outcomes. Proactively identify and reduce technical debt, improving code quality, performance, resilience, and reusability; contribute to technical evolution and digital transformation initiatives. Work with business stakeholders, SMEs, and Solution Architects (locally and globally) to clarify requirements, shape solutions, and ensure alignment to target architecture. Provide hands-on guidance and informal mentoring to junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.
