Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and evolve scalable, resilient RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Contribute to the evolution of the core monolithic application while supporting microservices initiatives and integrations with external partners, including ERP systems, payment gateways, and third-party platforms.
- Maintain high engineering standards through code reviews, Clean Code principles, SOLID practices, and adherence to team development guidelines.
- Monitor and optimize application performance using application performance monitoring tools, resource tuning, query analysis, and database optimization techniques.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software reliability, prevent regressions, and support continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, working closely with engineering and product stakeholders.
- Navigate related technology areas when needed, including TypeScript and mobile development workflows, to maintain a broader understanding of the product.
- Take ownership of technical decisions, delivery quality, and production stability, ensuring that developed solutions remain reliable and maintainable.
