About the Role Join a small engineering team building data-heavy distributed systems for a logistics software platform focused on temperature-controlled and high-value shipments. You will own external partner data integrations that help logistics teams understand shipment conditions and respond to risks. What You'll Do Design and build backend services and integrations for logistics and shipment data. Own partner data flows from multi-vendor ingestion and normalization through warehousing, monitoring, and on-call support. Process and contextualize IoT data to support shipment risk analysis and operational decisions. Build event-driven services and automate exception-handling workflows. Work with partner APIs, webhooks, queues, carriers, sensors, and vendors to deliver reliable data exchanges. Improve service scale and reliability through testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability. What We're Looking For Five to fifteen years of backend engineering experience, including five or more years building scalable distributed systems. Hands-on experience designing and operating production data pipelines and end-to-end partner integrations. Proficiency in Python and TypeScript or Node.js, SQL, relational data modeling, and REST or gRPC API development. Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying services on AWS, GCP, or Azure. Background in IoT data ingestion, processing, and contextual
