About the Role Join an early-stage legal technology team building AI-powered software for contract review and other legal workflows. As a Founding Product Engineer, you will work closely with attorneys and AI engineers to build core product capabilities and help shape the team's engineering practices. This is a high-ownership role in a fast-paced environment with an in-person, six-day workweek. What You'll Do Build and own full-stack product features, from data models and backend systems to interfaces used by attorneys and clients. Collaborate with attorneys and AI engineers to turn legal workflows and review practices into reliable software. Make pragmatic architecture and tooling decisions that support rapid delivery and future growth. Write maintainable, production-quality code and take responsibility for the reliability of features after launch. Help establish engineering standards, culture, and hiring practices as the team grows. Prioritize customer experience and work closely with teammates to deliver product improvements. What We're Looking For Three to four years of professional engineering experience, including experience building and shipping production software at an early-stage company or as a founder. Full-stack skills, including TypeScript and React, a modern backend stack, and relational databases.
