Accountabilities
- Ensure protocol reliability: Maintain critical blockchain infrastructure with a target of 99.99% uptime, proactively identify reliability risks, and implement improvements to availability and performance.
- Manage incident response: Participate in the on-call rotation, troubleshoot production incidents, resolve operational issues, and document blameless post-mortems to prevent recurrence.
- Operate validator infrastructure: Manage, maintain, and automate blockchain validator nodes across multi-cloud and bare-metal environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Support network decentralisation: Contribute to the transition from a foundation-coordinated federated validator model to a fully decentralised network, helping improve onboarding and deployment templates for Foundation Node Operators (FNOs) and future Stake Pool Operators.
- Develop infrastructure tooling: Build, maintain, and improve open-source tools that simplify blockchain infrastructure management, deployment, and automation.
- Strengthen security and performance: Identify vulnerabilities, improve security controls, investigate infrastructure bottlenecks, and implement solutions that enhance system resilience and efficiency.
- Build deployment pipelines: Design, maintain, and optimise secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other relevant automation tools.
