Regulatory experience is essential This role requires previous experience in a regulated industry. We are specifically looking for candidates who have worked under IEC 62366-1, ISO 13485, MDR Annex I, MDCG 2019-16, or equivalent frameworks in Medical Devices, Automotive, Aviation, Industrial Safety, Defence, Railway, or other highly regulated environments. If you have never worked in an environment where traceability, compliance, audits and formal verification are part of everyday engineering, this position is unlikely to be a good fit. About the role This is not a typical QA Automation position. You will own verification and validation activities across backend services, web applications, mobile applications (iOS & Android) and embedded systems. We are looking for an engineer who can determine what should be tested, why it should be tested, what evidence is required, and whether automation or manual testing is the right approach. A note on manual testing We expect you to be comfortable getting your hands dirty when needed. Exploratory testing, release verification, defect investigation and testing against real hardware remain a part of this role. Building the QA Function You will help establish QA processes, improve verification practices, maintain regulatory compliance, prepare for audits and ensure traceability and documentation quality.
