About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer / Technical Lead to drive the design, development and implementation of enterprise-scale AML/KYC applications and banking process automation solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in solution architecture, technical design and end-to-end delivery of complex Python-based applications. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure and highly available systems supporting banking operations and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
Lead technical requirement gathering, solution design, system architecture and implementation for complex banking applications. Drive the development of Python-based full-stack applications using Django and REST API frameworks. Design and implement scalable backend services and frontend applications using React, JavaScript and CSS/SCSS.

Evaluate existing systems, conduct impact assessments and recommend optimal technical solutions. Lead integration design and implementation involving APIs, MQ, microservices and high-volume batch processing. Oversee database design, SQL development and query optimisation using MS SQL and Oracle.

Ensure application architecture aligns with enterprise technology standards and solution architecture roadmaps. Drive engineering quality through code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and test-driven development. Lead CI/CD implementation, release management,
