DevOps Engineer with German

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with German language skills to operate, maintain and improve production cloud infrastructure and applications. The person in this role will be responsible for AWS-based deployments, Kubernetes cluster operation, infrastructure as code, and incident response for systems supporting railway operational processes.

Operate, monitor and optimize production applications and infrastructure hosted in AWS. Detect, analyse and resolve incidents; participate in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews. Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform / OpenTofu and maintain related codebases.

Configure, maintain and optimise Kubernetes clusters and associated tooling. Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker, Helm and GitOps workflows (Flux). Manage AWS security configurations including IAM roles, Secrets Manager and KMS.

Support and troubleshoot PostgreSQL databases on AWS RDS in production contexts. Configure and enhance monitoring and logging solutions using Grafana and OpenSearch. Operate and optimise Kafka infrastructure using Amazon MSK (Serverless where applicable).

Manage automated Kubernetes node scaling with Karpenter and optimise cloud resource usage. Automate operational tasks and dependency updates using Python, AWS Lambda and Renovate. Create and maintain runbooks, operating procedures and technical documentation for operations teams.
