We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join our Data Engineering team and help build the foundational systems that power Figma’s next generation of AI-driven products and data experiences. This is a unique opportunity to be an early engineer shaping Figma’s ML and data platform, enabling everything from self-serve analytics to production-grade AI systems. You’ll work at the intersection of data, infrastructure, and machine learning, building scalable systems that empower Data Science, unlock AI capabilities across the company, and bring data and models closer to the product experience. This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States. What you’ll do at Figma: Lead work on Figma’s AI data agent to enable self-serve analytics by owning the data-agent layer, building prompt-processing pipelines, instrumenting interactions, and delivering prompt-based usage analytics Own and evolve Figma’s ML and data platform, including model serving, feature pipelines, workflow orchestration, CI/CD for models, and production monitoring Build product-facing data systems and data products so models and data become first-class components of Figma’s product experience Ship platform tooling that
