[[link] We are looking for an experienced Windows Server admin to join our Windows Server Operations team. The position is fully remote, however you must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. No relocation or sponsorship available. Some things we're looking for and some insight into our environment: * The primary focus for this role initially will be acting as part of a 2 member team responsible for monthly patching activities using Tanium (resources alternate each month). The remaining time will be spent handling general server operations (server deployment/decommission, file share migrations, automating routine tasks, etc) * The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Tanium including Patch, Comply, Deploy, and Enforce. * Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex problems, propose practical solutions, and manage incidents * Strong Windows Server experience in a large enterprise environment (1000+ physical/virtual) * The overall Wintel team supports all virtual infrastructure but this Operations team is primarily responsible for the end to end lifecycle around Windows Servers and Hyper-V hosts. There is another team dedicated to \*NIX systems, separate and dedicated network, storage, and backup teams. * Strong focus on automation and process improvement (we leverage Aria Automation, PDQ, Tanium, PowerShell Universal, and we will be bringing Aria Operations online this year) * Splunk used for Windows event logging * 98% on-prem, very little AWS or Azure footprint A few highlights: * We offer a 9/80 schedule, meaning 9 hour days with every other Friday off * Team-members share an on-call rotation, 1 week every \~13 weeks. * There can be after-hours work when the situation requires it, but I'm a strong believer in ensuring the team get that time back later that week or the following and aren't over-doing it week after week. * Our team is coast to coast
