Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Affirm is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our Cloud Compute team to play a pivotal role in ensuring the robust and scalable foundation of our entire platform. As a fully remote team based in Spain, we are the engine room that manages all of Affirm's Kubernetes clusters. Our mission is to provide a highly reliable and available cloud environment that empowers all of Affirm's engineering teams to build and deploy innovative solutions seamlessly. We are a tight-knit, collaborative group passionate about automation and implementing best-in-class practices. You'll be instrumental in driving initiatives to enhance our observability capabilities, fortify the reliability of our critical infrastructure, and automate key operational workflows. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Affirm's cloud infrastructure, work with cutting-edge technologies, and have a significant impact on the stability and efficiency of our entire engineering organization. If you're a proactive and skilled cloud engineer who thrives in a remote setting and is passionate about Kubernetes, automation, and operational excellence. What You'll Do You will be responsible for executing on the technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale, and help your team tie it together with critical, business-impacting projects. You will collaborate across teams in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design & analytics to ensure technical sustainability, risks and trade-offs are well understood and managed.
