CMM PROGRAMMER, TOOL & DIE (STARLINK) The CMM Programmer role here at SpaceX is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of CMM programming, GD&T, operations and reporting. This role is tasked with working in close concert with machinist, leads, engineering teams, machining operations management to increase accuracy and first article success rate of the manufactured components from the Bastrop machining area. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform precision inspection (CMM or surface plate) verification on mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials. May include but is not limited to first article parts, in-process and final inspection on assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to specifications/drawings Understand GD&T requirements as applied to the engineering drawing and drawing notes Spot interpretation issues as applied to dimensions written or evaluation to requirements Select and utilize standard gauges to ensure quality. Inspect feature tolerances by selecting the tool with the required accuracy Candidate will be responsible to work in a cross functional environment utilizing CMM programming software in conjunction with bridge style machines up to possible 5axis head motion Create, maintain, verify, retain, sort and organize all programs created to
