Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human-level intelligence. Our robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA and requires 5 days/week of in-office collaboration. We are looking for a business-first attorney who treats legal drafting as an engineering challenge rather than an academic exercise, and a "full-stack" commercial expert who is equally comfortable negotiating a global robotics supply chain as you are architecting complex AI data licensing structures. Figure’s vision is to deploy autonomous humanoids at a global scale. The ideal candidate is detail oriented who can operationalize our legal department and excel at transforming manual processes into automated, reliable systems that support Figure’s mission. Responsibilities Strategic Transactions: Structure, draft, and lead negotiations for complex outbound partnerships, technology licenses, and data collection/ownership agreements. AI Data Licensing and Infrastructure: Structure and lead negotiations for complex data collection and ownership agreements. Define the strategy for how we own or license data for AI training while protecting our proprietary datasets. Lead the negotiation of high-stakes agreements for data center capacity and GPU procurement. Global Supply Chain & Logistics: Act as the legal lead for manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing.
