8 months out of job : I made this as learn and implement TL;DR: Got laid off 8 months ago. Used the time to learn and build , a zero-touch, self-driving cloud automation platform that uses algorithms to provision infrastructure in under 30 minutes. It kept me sane and taught me a lot. Instead of just lurking, I decided to take on "learn and implement" project to keep up my skills. I worked on automation. Reality is that there is still way too much manual intervention and server babysitting involved in creating infra. I wanted to build a system where the infrastructure is practically invisible. I built Inframan. I wanted Self-Driving Infrastructure. I specifically wanted to move away from the "I have to manage servers" mentality and move toward "things are managable." Algorithmic Pre-Configs: Instead of writing custom scripts from scratch for every deployment, the platform relies on algorithms to analyze the workload and apply the optimal configurations automatically. Sub-30 Minute Provisioning: My primary metric for success was speed. The system is designed so that complete provisioning, deployment, and initial maintenance cycles happen in under 30 minutes. The end goal is that developers can push code and let the platform handle the heavy lifting. Building this from the ground up has been incredibly rewarding.
