Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. 5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games. At the heart of Discord's communities is Safety. The Safety team at Discord is responsible for ensuring users find belonging by minimizing exposure to abuse on the platform. We're looking for a Product Manager to lead our work on scaled abuse — fake accounts, account takeovers, scraping — and help keep Discord a safe and welcoming place. Reporting to our safety Group Product Manager, you'll create the vision, build the systems, and lead the cross-functional strategy that detects and prevents scaled abuse before it reaches our users. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role with significant room to shape strategy, drive investment, and define how we measure and win in this space. What You'll Be Doing Own the product philosophy, vision, and multi-quarter roadmap for scaled abuse, spanning fake accounts, ATO, scraping, and recidivism detection — prioritizing proactive, foundational investments that compound across the platform. Define, own, and socialize the north-star metrics for the space and report progress against those goals to the relevant stakeholders.
