​ I'm a BSCS student in Pakistan, starting my 3rd semester in September 2026, graduating around 2029. I have basic programming fundamentals (C++, Java/OOP, Python) but I'm not an advanced programmer. I want to specialize in Cloud + DevOps + Cybersecurity → Cloud Security/DevSecOps, with Python/automation and some AI skills alongside it. I want to start building projects now and aim for an internship after my 4th semester. For those actually working in Cloud/DevOps/DevSecOps/Cloud Security: Do I need to become a Software Engineer first, or can I learn the necessary software engineering fundamentals while directly pursuing Cloud/DevOps? What would you recommend as the most realistic path for someone in my position? Also, what skills would you consider essential before applying for a Cloud/DevOps internship after 4 semesters? Would really appreciate advice from people already working in the field.
