Engineering Manager, Blockchain Full-time/Company: Anchorage Digital Anchorage Digital is a crypto platform enabling institutions to participate in digital assets through custody, staking, trading, governance, settlement, and security infrastructure. Home to Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S., the company is backed by investors including Andreessen Horowitz, GIC, Goldman Sachs, KKR, and Visa. All new hires must complete an in-person onboarding process (no exceptions). Responsibilities: - Drive the growth and health of an engineering team, including hiring and mentoring engineers. - Refine engineering roadmap, drive operational excellence, and create technology strategy for the team. - Lead execution, ensuring quality, timeliness, and impact of deliveries. - Coach team members, provide feedback, and support professional development. - Collaborate with Product Managers to align product investment with team capacity and technical realities. - Partner with other engineering managers, recruiting, and people teams to drive hiring, retention, and team growth. Requirements: - Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and growing a geographically distributed team. - Real-world experience building and operating complex distributed systems. - Strong computer science fundamentals (concurrency, algorithms, data structures). - Experience with applied cryptography. - Experience building services from scratch and supporting them over time. - Professional experience with Go, Rust, TypeScript, or Solidity. Nice to have: - Familiarity with optimistic rollups and zero-knowledge technologies. - Background in the finance industry.
