We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to help operate and scale SEON’s database platforms as our products and data continue to grow. In this role, you will work across multiple database technologies, including PostgreSQL on AWS RDS, ClickHouse, and YugabyteDB, supporting a variety of workloads and use cases. Your focus will be to keep our database platforms reliable, scalable, observable, secure, and cost-efficient, while partnering closely with engineering teams on performance, architecture, and operational excellence. This role offers flexibility and can be based in Budapest with a hybrid schedule. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Operate, maintain, and scale database platforms that handle terabytes of data Design scalable, reliable database architectures for different workloads and availability requirements Support and optimize databases including PostgreSQL on AWS RDS, ClickHouse, and YugabyteDB Troubleshoot database issues and query performance bottlenecks across large datasets Improve schema design, data structures, migrations, and change management processes Partner with development teams during design and delivery to ensure robust, scalable solutions Assess and communicate technical risks and tradeoffs in database and platform decisions Contribute to monitoring, observability, security, backup, and recovery practices a
