Job Description Responsible for enabling secure, scalable, and automated deployment pipelines across government digital platforms. The DevOps Engineer will support mission‑critical systems, ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement of CI/CD practices. The role interacts with product owners, developers, infrastructure teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders, driving modern engineering practices that accelerate delivery while safeguarding public‑sector systems. Key Responsibilities · Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to support secure, automated deployments across multiple environments. g. Kubernetes, Docker) to ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance. · Collaborate with developers and architects to integrate DevOps practices into application design and delivery. · Monitor and optimise system performance using observability tools, ensuring high availability of government applications. g. SHIP‑HATS). · Support incident and problem management by troubleshooting deployment, infrastructure, and environment issues. · Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools where applicable. · Document processes, configurations, and standards to ensure knowledge transfer and audit readiness. · Engage vendors and external partners to align DevOps practices with government frameworks. · Champion continuous improvement by introducing new tools, practices, and automation opportunities. Requirements · Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Docker. · Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. · Familiarity with DevOps practices in production environments. · Experience in deployment automation and environment management. · Understanding of secure software delivery in regulated environments. · Minimum 5 years in DevOps, system engineering, or related roles. · Proven track record supporting large‑scale applications or platforms. · Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline. · Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. · Effective communication and stakeholder management. · Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers. · Experience with SHIP‑HATS or other Singapore Government compliance frameworks. · Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). · Knowledge of Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, Ansible). · Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery. ). · Domain Experience in Government / Public Sector technology delivery or Citizen services, e‑government platforms, or compliance‑driven environments. Technical Skills · Programming / Scripting: Shell, Python, Groovy. · Containers: Docker, Kubernetes. · CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps · Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP. · Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Terraform, Ansible. · Security / Compliance: SHIP‑HATS, vulnerability scanning tools. · Monitoring / Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
