We are seeking an experienced, hands-on QA Manager to lead the team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the QA strategy, driving test automation initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable digital insurance solutions (including core insurance systems, portals, and mobile apps). You will work closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to maintain exceptional software quality standards while mentoring and scaling a high-performing QA team. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team, setting performance goals, defining testing roadmaps, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. Drive test automation strategy from scratch, build and maintain robust automation frameworks, and actively participate in hands-on testing (API, UI, and backend) for complex insurance systems. , policy administration, claims processing, billing, and underwriting workflows). Establish best practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines, and defect management workflows to optimize the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project managers, and external vendors to manage release schedules, report testing metrics, and mitigate project risks. Focus testing efforts on core insurance processes such as policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, renewals, endorsements, and customer servicing. Ensure testing practices align with regulatory, audit, and risk expectations relevant to the insurance industry. Requirements & Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Professional certifications in testing or quality assurance preferred, such as: Agile testing certification, Automation & tool-specific certifications, AI / data / automation-related certifications are an advantage. Minimum 8+ years of total experience in Software Quality Assurance within the insurance or financial services industry; at least 5+ years of proven experience in leading and managing QA teams. Strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using tools and languages such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Java, Python, or JavaScript. Hands-on experience designing test strategies and building automation, using tools such as Playwright, TestNG, Cypress, Katalon, JUnit, Selenium, UFT, Appium, or similar platforms. Solid experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and Agile/Scrum development methodologies. , Life/General Insurance core systems, digital portals, mobile quoting/underwriting platforms). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Certifications in testing or QA are an advantage — tool-specific automation certifications, Agile testing credentials, or AI/data/automation-related certifications will help a candidate stand out.
