Responsibilities Peraton is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Cloud Administrator to support the DOI USGS Permitting Modernization and Cloud Infrastructure program on the WARP platform. In this fully remote hands-on role you will serve as the day-to-day operational owner of the AWS cloud infrastructure supporting a diverse development workforce of 50+ engineers, 20 business analysts, and Government personnel across fully separated development, testing, staging, and production environments. You will manage AWS Marketplace subscriptions, enforce Government-directed security controls, monitor environment health, and serve as the primary point of contact for AWS support escalations. Operating in a strict FedRAMP Moderate federal environment, you will ensure platform availability, access integrity, and security compliance playing a foundational role in the success of one of DOI's most significant technology modernization programs. Peraton supports the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) and U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in modernizing the federal permitting process through the Permitting Modernization and Cloud Infrastructure program. At the heart of this initiative is the WARP platform (Workflows, Authorizations, Registrations, and Permits), a cloud-native AWS environment purpose-built to streamline and accelerate how the federal government processes permits, authorizations, and registrations.
