PURPOSE OF THE JOB As our Data Engineer, you will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that power analytics, reporting and data-led decision-making across the organisation. You will work closely with Power BI analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure and high-quality data solutions that make a meaningful business impact. You will bring strong technical expertise across data architecture, ETL processes and cloud platforms, alongside a collaborative approach and a genuine drive to improve how data is structured, accessed and used. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES You will design, build and maintain robust ETL and ELT pipelines that provide reliable, high-quality data across the organisation. You will create scalable ingestion processes that bring together structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. You will develop and maintain modern data warehouses and data lakes that support reporting, analytics and data science. You will design effective data models, including dimensional, star and snowflake schemas, to make data easier to access and use. You will deploy and manage cloud-based data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft SQL Server. You will monitor and optimise database, platform and storage performance to improve scalability, resilience and efficiency.
