As a Senior API Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services provider committed to transforming banking experiences through cutting-edge technology. You will contribute to designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable APIs that power HSBC’s digital products and internal platforms. Join us and help deliver reliable, modern services at a rapid pace, utilizing Java and cloud-native patterns to drive innovation and excellence in financial technology. Your main responsibilities: Develop and optimize secure, high-performance APIs using modern Java and cloud-native frameworks. Implement event-driven architecture to enhance system responsiveness and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. Maintain and improve existing API infrastructure ensuring resilience and security. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to uphold quality standards. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in API design and development practices. You’re ideal for this role if you have: 0+ years of experience in API development, microservices, or related fields. Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in cloud-native environments. Familiarity with event-driven architecture patterns. Knowledge of modern API security
