You will get the exciting opportunity to shape advanced imaging systems and develop your career in defence technology. You will be joining a specialist engineering environment where mathematical insight, artificial intelligence and image processing contribute to complex technical challenges. What you will need British citizenship is essential, including for applicants who also hold another nationality. A degree with strong mathematical content in a subject such as mathematics, physics, engineering or computer science. Relevant experience in computer vision, image processing, artificial intelligence or machine learning through industry, research or postgraduate study. The ability to work with technical computing environments such as Python, MATLAB or Simulink.Salary and rewards Earn up to £58,000 depending on experience, with opportunities for continued technical development and career progression. Your role Research, develop and evaluate image processing and computer vision algorithms for advanced defence applications. Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to complex imaging challenges. Explore methods including image segmentation, object tracking, detection, classification and computational imaging. Use mathematical modelling and algorithm evaluation to improve system performance and support engineering decisions.
