QA Engineer Toronto, Ontario | In-office | Manual & Automated Testing About the Role Brainyyack is looking for a QA Engineer to help deliver reliable, intuitive software for our clients. You will work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and delivery teams to validate requirements, identify defects, and strengthen quality throughout the development lifecycle. This is a hands-on role combining manual testing with test automation across web applications, APIs, and integrations. You will bring a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to testing, communicate risks clearly, and help teams make informed release decisions. Location and Work Arrangement This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, and requires in-office attendance at Brainyyack's Toronto office. You must be able to commute to the office and collaborate with the team in person. Key Responsibilities • Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; identify gaps, edge cases, and testability concerns early. • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and traceable coverage of critical business workflows. • Perform functional, exploratory, regression, smoke, integration, and cross-browser testing. • Test APIs and integrations, including authentication, validation, error handling, and data consistency. • Document defects with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, severity, and supporting evidence. • Collaborate with developers to investigate defects, verify fixes, and pr
