£500 GBP Remote WORKING Type: Contract GCP Engineer - Active SC Clearance Required Contract Length: 4 months IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Rate: £500 Clearance: Active SC clearance essential Project: Government Digital Services - Discovery Start: Urgent requirement The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer to support an urgent government discovery project focused on the design and development of GCP landing zones. This is an opportunity to contribute to an early-stage cloud project within a public sector environment, helping establish the foundations for secure, scalable and well-governed cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on GCP engineering expertise and the ability to contribute to technical discovery, cloud architecture and landing zone development. Key Responsibilities Support the discovery phase of a government cloud transformation project. Design and build GCP landing zones in line with security and governance requirements. Contribute to cloud infrastructure design, configuration and implementation. Apply best practices across cloud security, networking, identity and access management. Help establish appropriate infrastructure standards and cloud foundations. Work collaboratively with architects, engineers and wider project stakeholders.
