About the Role In high-stakes environments, safety and reliability are absolute. As our Senior Safety Engineer, you will embed these principles into the core of our autonomous ground systems. You will pioneer the engineering practices that ensure our products are safe, dependable, and maintainable from the first design sketch to final deployment in the field. Working across systems, hardware, and software teams, you’ll be the central node for identifying risks and building resilience into every layer of our technology. Your expertise will directly shape the trustworthiness of our systems, ensuring that security and military forces can depend on them when it matters most. What You’ll Build Drive and enhance the safety and reliability engineering function function for our core system development programs. Conduct rigorous safety and reliability analyses (e.g., FMEA, FTA) to fortify our designs. Define and trace critical safety requirements throughout the entire system architecture. Drive structured safety and reliability reviews that actively improve system design and integrity. Identify potential failure modes and create robust mitigation strategies to minimize operational risk. Use performance data and field reports to conduct data-driven analyses that continuously enhance system safety.
