We’re looking for a mid-level to senior Backend Software Engineer to join us at Telia Play. I’m Tomas Brimor , Engineering Manager at Telia Play , and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a small, supportive, forward-thinking backend team of around 6–8 engineers focused on building and operating the metadata platform behind the viewing experience for nearly 2 million subscribers across the Nordics . We work extensively with AI-assisted development and are building agentic AI in production. These are agents that work with our real services and workflows, not just prototypes. What you’ll do: You’ll help decide how solutions are built, from design through production. Our platform assembles complete, accurate records from many partial sources and processes nearly half a million events daily, with peak days exceeding 2 million. Build and evolve our metadata platform , from ingestion and enrichment to APIs and near real-time distribution. Own solutions end to end : understand the problem, shape the approach, implement, test, deploy, and keep improving them in production. Contribute to technical decisions , balancing delivery, reliability, security, cost, and maintainability. Work across backend services and AWS infrastructure, including deployment pipelines, runtimes, and observability. We follow "you build it, you run it", with support from teammates and specialist cloud/DevOps colleagues. On-call is available for those who want it but is not required . Build age
