Job Description: We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will provide technical leadership for Penn Mutual’s Brokerage and RIA Technology Team, helping shape the architecture and technical direction of its platforms and systems. You will lead complex initiatives, influence technical decisions across teams, and ensure solutions align with business needs and long-term technology strategy. While remaining hands-on in engineering and solution delivery, you will expand your impact through architecture, technical standards, reusable patterns, mentoring, and cross-team technical leadership. Responsibilities Define and drive the technical direction and architecture for Penn Mutual’s Brokerage and RIA Technology Team and its associated platforms and systems. Partner with product, engineering, architecture, business, cybersecurity, and platform leaders to develop technical roadmaps aligned with business priorities and long-term technology strategy. Define architecture, reference patterns, engineering standards, and reusable capabilities for AWS serverless data integration across major platforms and multiple engineering teams. Architect complex solutions spanning multiple applications, services, data sources, integrations, and technology platforms. Lead major cross-team technical initiatives from initial analysis and solution design through implementation and operational adoption.
