Engineering Manager, Blockchain Full-time/Company: Anchorage Digital Anchorage Digital builds an institutional digital-asset platform offering custody, staking, trading, governance and settlement, and operates Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S. The company is backed by investors including Andreessen Horowitz, GIC, Goldman Sachs, KKR, and Visa. All new hires must complete a mandatory in-person onboarding process (no exceptions). Responsibilities: - Refine the engineering roadmap and drive operational excellence and technical strategy for your team. - Lead a team of engineers, owning quality of execution, delivery timelines, impact, and growth. - Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to level up teammates and support career development. - Collaborate with Product Managers to align product investment with team bandwidth and technical realities. - Drive hiring, retention, and performance management in partnership with recruiting and people teams. Requirements: - Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and growing a geographically distributed engineering team. - Real-world experience building complex distributed systems. - Strong computer science fundamentals (concurrency, algorithms, data structures). - Experience with applied cryptography. - Track record of hiring, coaching, and driving team-level outcomes. - Professional experience with one or more of: Go, Rust, TypeScript, Solidity. Nice to have: - Familiarity with optimistic rollups and zero-knowledge technologies. - Background in the finance industry. - Actively follows blockchain protocol research and innovations.
