Job Description: We are seeking an SEO / GEO Expert to help improve brand presence for local service clients across Google search and AI search. The role is focused on local SEO for home services businesses and identifying the right strategy to keep clients visible as AI-driven search behavior grows. General information This engagement supports a digital marketing agency that serves the home services market, including businesses such as plumbers, electricians, and other local service providers. The primary objective is to help clients rank wherever leads are generated, with a particular focus on Google, local search, and emerging AI search engines. The team has execution support in place, but needs a senior, self-directed expert who can lead strategy and recommend the right actions without requiring heavy direction. S. local business search behavior is especially relevant for this work. Responsibilities Develop SEO and GEO strategies for local service clients. Identify the right approach to improve brand presence in AI search. Optimize local SEO performance for home services businesses. Recommend actions to improve visibility across Google search and AI-driven search channels. Guide the team on priority moves to support lead generation from search. Advise on search strategy for local intent queries, including “near me” use cases. Engagement highlights Own a high-priority search workstream at the intersection of local SEO and emerging AI search. Provide strategic direction to a large execution-capable team that can support implementation. Shape search visibility strategy for a focused portfolio of home services clients in a fast-evolving channel. S. local search behavior and “near me” intent queries Experience working with home services or local service-based businesses Ability to develop and own end-to-end SEO strategy with minimal supervision Experience guiding or collaborating with execution teams (content, dev, marketing) Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Excellent communication skills Previous graveyard work experience preferred.
