Role It’s an exciting time to be joining their Platform team as they’ve completed their migration from their data centre to Google Cloud Platform and are now embracing cloud-native infrastructure, leveraging GCP’s services to build a more scalable, resilient, and efficient platform. They’re looking for a passionate Platform Engineer to help them optimise their system, improve security, and develop solutions that utilise many of the benefits cloud engineering offers. Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of their platform and infrastructure. Design and maintain scalable, cloud-native infrastructure and platform tooling on GCP. Continue to automate and improve their infrastructure and operational workflows. Collaborate with their core development team to design and deliver platform solutions that support product development. Build and maintain self-service platform capabilities that enable teams to deploy and operate their services. Help maintain high engineering standards through best practices, tooling, and documentation. *Participate in a paid on-call rotation to support the reliability and availability of their platform (the rota is 1 week on 1 week off. It's possible to swap day
