We’re Hiring: Senior Python / Django Backend Developer | FinTech [Maadi - Hybrid] The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python, Django, Django REST Framework (DRF), RESTful APIs, and scalable backend architectures, with previous exposure to FinTech, Payments, Banking, Wallets, or Digital Financial Services preferred. 🔹 Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python & Django • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications • Build backend services supporting multiple products within a Super App ecosystem • Integrate with Payment Gateways, Wallets, Banking Systems, and third-party services • Implement business logic for payments, transactions, refunds, reversals, settlements, and reconciliation • Ensure services are secure, scalable, reliable, and highly available • Design and optimize database queries and data models • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis • Collaborate with Frontend/Mobile, QA, DevOps, Product, and Solution Architecture teams • Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards • Monitor application performance and identify scalability bottlenecks 🔹 Required Skills ✅ 4+ years of backend development experience ✅ Strong hands-on Python experience ✅ Strong experience with Django & Django REST Framework (DRF) ✅ Strong RESTful API development experience ✅ Solid understanding of backend architecture and design patterns ✅ Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL ✅ Understanding of database design, indexing, query optimization, and transactions ✅ Experience with Git and collaborative development ✅ Knowledge of JWT, OAuth, OTP, and MFA ✅ Experience with asynchronous processing and background jobs ✅ Understanding of caching and performance optimization ✅ Production troubleshooting and log analysis experience 🔹 FinTech / Payments Experience – Preferred 💳 FinTech / Banking / Payments / Wallets experience 💳 Understanding of payment and transaction lifecycles 💳 Payment gateway and financial service integrations 💳 Experience with refunds, reversals, settlements, and reconciliation 💳 Understanding of pending, failed, duplicate, and successful transaction states 💳 Strong focus on financial data integrity and transactional consistency 🔹 Nice to Have • Celery & background task processing • Redis for caching, queues, or distributed processing • PostgreSQL performance optimization • Docker & containerized applications • Nginx and production environments • CI/CD pipelines • Monitoring & logging tools • AWS / Azure / GCP • Microservices & event-driven architectures If anyone is interested, please send your CV to [email] with mail subject "PythonBE"
