Senior Backend Engineer (AWS) About the role We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (AWS) to build and run enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications on AWS for a regulated-sector programme in Singapore. Key responsibilities Design and develop RESTful APIs, microservices and backend integration services Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including query optimisation and data integrity Build event-driven integrations using message queues Apply software design patterns, enterprise architecture and secure coding practices Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes Contribute to GitLab CI/CD pipelines within Agile delivery teams Debug, troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues js or Java RESTful APIs and microservices Relational and NoSQL databases Message queues and event-driven architecture Software design patterns and secure coding AWS cloud-native development Docker and Kubernetes GitLab, CI/CD and Agile practices Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills Qualifications & certifications Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT or related field Work arrangement Location: Singapore, on-site at client premises Employment type: Contract / Permanent / Full Time Working days: Monday to Friday The successful candidate must be able to obtain the required government security clearance before
